Stephen is an FAA licensed drone pilot, Wilderness First Responder, and all-around outdoor enthusiast. Growing up, he occasionally assisted his father, a land surveyor, with field work in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Inspired by his passion for skateboard videos and wildlife documentaries, he earned a BS in Film and Television from Boston University and an MA in Wildlife Filmmaking from the University of the West of England. Fifteen years in the film industry has taken him all over the U.S. and to 21 countries across 5 continents.
In 2020, Stephen and his partner moved from Boston to Brattleboro where they now live with their dog. While looking for a career change to keep him closer to home and more connected to his community, Stephen returned to land surveying. He loves working outside year-round, experiencing the changing seasons one little detail at a time, and discovering hidden gems down back roads and deep into the woods.
